Jacob sees Edward, who looks like he's in agony, half-crazed; Bella is still human but looks sick and haggard - she is pregnant.; Edward takes Jacob outside to talk: Edward looks like a man being burned at the stake; he knows it's all his fault; he had no idea this could happen; Rosalie is protecting Bella; Edward asks Jacob to talk to Bella, to tell her she can have a baby with him; Jacob knows Bella will reject him; Edward promises that the moment Bella's heart stops beating, he will beg Jacob to kill him; Jacob tells him they have a deal.
