∙ 12y agono you cant drop out of high school in Australia until you are 17. In the US, it is generally age 16.
However, before doing so, you should have a plan to either complete your schooling online or at a charter school or get your GED. If you are wanting to drop out because of being in an impossible position as far as grades, attendance or other issues, you should definitely think twice. Get some advice from a counselor or adult friend and then follow it to the letter, without second guessing. If you need a tutor, get the help and have patience with yourself. Otherwise, you are dooming yourself to low pay jobs and opportunities. It is really, really difficult to catch up in this area in your twenties or later.
