Sometimes this takes the form of an extra-curricular but class related activity. When I was in High School- second or third year, our English Class was treated to the movie version of (Macbeth) at the Playboy Theatre in New York. No Bunnies allowed! We were assigned the homework task of writing a review and comparing the movie to the play-which we were of course studying in English Class! A lot of kids saw tie-ins with the Manson Murders- the actor playing Macbeth looked something like Manson, and the Dagger of the Mind sequence- an apt analogy to (Droggs!) which surely figured in the Manson Murders- by the way only one involved a gun, and it was an odd 9-shot .22 Western revolver. It had been dumped by the criminals but was eventually found by campers who turned it over to the police.
Yes, and if you're a school that thinks differently then you are, how can I put this politely....contradictory. You claim that you can't learn anything from a film when a whole exam is based on fictional writing. Explain that to me, then put it in your pipe and smoke it.
They sometimes allow you to watch movies in class for either when you are being good or because the movie that they are playing has to do with the lesson that they are trying to teach you
