AnswerYes you can! My sister, her husband and I actually were able to do it (and we took pictures to prove it). It takes a steady hand and a tremendous amount of patience, but it can be done. I believe there was a small window of time (maybe an hour or so) and I don't recall when that time was - other than on the vernal equinox - or why that is, but that was my personal experience. This was about 20 years ago when we did it, but it can be done. AnswerYou can balance an egg on the first day of spring, and on any other day of the year, if you have the remarkable patience and steady hands told about in the first answer. But no matter how many scientists and TV weathermen try to spike this urban legend, people want to believe there is something extra special about the vernal equinox. As if bringing us Spring isn't magical enough!

What is the difference between a spring roll and a egg roll?

According to thefood dictionary at Epicurious.com ... an egg roll is a small, stuffed Chinese pastry usually served as an appetizer, filled with minced vegetables and meat, rolled in a wrapper which is make of egg, salt, water, and dough, then deep fried. A spring roll is smaller, more delicate version of an egg roll and are traditionally served on the first day of the Chinese new year... which takes place in early spring. Even though the recipe to make egg roll and spring roll are the same, typically egg roll wrappers are a little thicker.

What is that one day of the year where the gravity is off and a pop can will balance on it's edge?

An urban legend. It's more commonly said of eggs, but with sufficient care, it's possible to balance an egg on any day of the year. Similarly, if you can get a pop can to balance on one day, you can get it to balance on any day if you try.

When do hens release their egg and why?

during the day in the morning they usually release their egg. They do it during the spring summer and early fall mostly, because of the lighting. They lay when it is light out. Unless they are molting, they will lay about 1 egg a day give or take.
