Internet access for the iPod could be possible, but hardcore modding would be required. From my experience, only the first 2 Nano generations can run custom firmware so far. A minor firmware mod could write code to access the internet. You would have to write software on BOTH THE COMPUTER AND THE IPOD to get access. The computer would have to be running an application that slightly alters firmware. This would basically just display on the iPod what's going on on the computer. The iPod would need a piece of software to let the computer's application work well. This end would be the part that recieves and configure's the PC's signals.
