Here are your options: - by train: a direct link between the two cities exists. Trains leave each half hour. Tickets to be bought on the station, in-train buying brings a big penalty! Travel time is 2,5 hours. (link: www.ns.nl/en/) - by car: The A2 motorway connects Amsterdam to Maastricht. Travel distance is around 200 kilometres (125 miles), travel time depends on the day and time: during weekdays it can be very busy. Normal road conditions without congestion: 2,5 hours. Travelling during peak hours: 3,5 to 4 hours. Good luck and a safe trip!
