you can probably take care of it till it hatches but once hatched there's about 3/10 chance of it surviving because it needs to be fed constantally,kept at the right temperature.basically round the clock care. so if you are trying to hatch a blackbird egg be aware of the work involved. hope this helps! from charlotte x

∙ 13y agoif you steal the eggs from the mother bird then its illegal but if the mother bird abandons them then its not illegal because you are trying to help the species. well i think this is right ...

∙ 11y agoAt the back of my house, halfway up a set of ladders fastened to the wall there is a Blackbirds nest. I have only ever seen the male blackbird on the eggs. he occasionally disappears - presumably to look for food. I have seen no sign of a female.
