No you must buy a 20GB model CECHB01 or 60GB model CECHA01 that was produced with the emotion engine as part of the hardware and software if you require that feature
The Emotion Engine is the processor used in the PS2. It was placed in the PS3 to facilitate backward compatibility with PS2 games on the PS3.
Only if you have a PS3 that is backwards compatible with PS2 games. This includes the 20GB, 60GB, and 80GB models. If you do not have one of these models of PS3 you will not be able to play Ratchet Deadlocked.
No, it can't. Only the 20GB, 60GB and the earlier 80GB (none of them are in production) could play the PS2 Final Fantasy games.
Answerthey both got wifi, 40gb got 2 usb port, no backward compatible for ps2 games and 60gb got 4 usb port, fully backward compatible for ps1 and ps2 games by using the emotion engine, also the 60gb will hold more things such as saved game data, pictures, song and videos etc.PS3 OWNS!! 360 BLOWS!!-eyes fire2- he's right (even about it owning 360 p.s. 360 suck crap
It's not very likely since it is a PS2 game that Gamespot only rated fair so why would you want too. However if you have one of the older 80GB PS3 that had 4 USB ports there is a chance that it might play on your machine, but only if you have that console.

ps3 80 gb.
You can purchase an 80GB PS3 several places. Gamestop sells used and refurbished 80GB PS3. Amazon.com also sells 80GB PS3 from different sellers, but not directly from their warehouses. AlexTheGeek Replies: Not in America in the UK
No a UK PS3 80GB can not play PS2 games. When the PS3 60 GB was initially launched it had the ability to do so.
It would also be newer and have WiFi built in, all the other advantages would go to the 20 GB model that includes the emotion engine and cost more to produce and is also a collectible as the number available in working condition continues to decrease.
no
Unfortunately you can not play PS2 games on the PS3 80GB, they are not compatable.
PS3 can play PS2 games.
More memory, that's all.
if you want it cheaper, get the 60gb, but with 60gb you dont have everything the 80gb has. however if you want all the features, get 80gb you decide, but i recommend the 60gb.
