First straighten your hair, then take the top section of your hair, and tie everything else into a ponytail to keep it out of the way. Then you tease the BACK of the top section of hair. If you don't know what teasing is, it's combing your hair the opposite way, towards your scalp. Everytime you comb down one section, hairspray it.You should have a pretty big bump soon enough. Once you're happy with the bump, smooth down the FRONT of the top section so it lays nice and flat over the bump. Then let out the hair in the ponytail. It should look almost like her hair. Next, bring all the hair that you teased together at the back of your head, and bobby pin it in place. Add hairspray again to set it

I know Q2 Fishing line or a glass or clear plastic sheet and they sick them to it with a mahgnet and slide them across a bit every frame. Q3 probably paper, drawings. You should only use hairspray on work you don't intend to keep as it will make pastel brittle and it will yellow the paper over time. If you are experimenting with pastel and just doing quick sketches that you will work up into a proper painting later on then yes use cheap hairspray .If you are working on something you intend on exhibiting or selling I would invest in proper fixative to keep your colours true for longer and avoid unhappy buyers of your work.Ask yourself this question would you use pastel fixative on your hair ? No they are designed to do different things.
