The character of Daddy Warbucks has made many appearances in both print and on screen over the last 90ish years. His servants in turn, have made many appearances and have been presented in a multitude of fashions. In the original "Little Orphan Annie" cartoon, Warbucks had two main servants, Punjab and The Asp. In the 1982 film version, both these characters make appearances, along with the butler Drake and many maids.
The main characters in Annie the musical are Annie, Miss Hannigan, Daddy Warbucks, Grace Farrell, and Rooster. The story revolves around Annie, an orphan who is taken in by the wealthy Mr. Warbucks and his assistant Grace. Miss Hannigan is the cruel caretaker of the orphanage where Annie lives, while Rooster is her conniving brother.
Drake is the loyal butler to Daddy Warbucks in "Annie." He helps take care of Annie and supports Daddy Warbucks in his efforts to help her find a family. Drake is a father figure to Annie and also provides comic relief in the musical.
