Probably the best way to get to Vancouver Island from Seattle is to drive up there and take the ferry across to Vancouver Island. If you do drive, that is an excellent alternative. However if you aren't a driver there is a train that can take you there instead and you can get on a ferry and take it over. I know that the Victoria Clipper makes runs to Victoria BC then you can take the ferry over to the island as well. But that can be a bit pricey especially during peak times.
In a way Harpers Island is a real Island. It's real because it exists. But it's really called Bowen's Island and it is located in Metro Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.
Not completely. You must travel by bus from Vancouver to Seattle and then you can get on the Coast Starlight to Emeryville, CA (a suburb of SF). The good news is that Amtrak has Thruway Service so you can purchase one ticket for the whole trip. Also, once you check your bags in Vancouver, you won't pick them up until Emeryville. The bus leaves Vancouver at 5:30 am and gets into Seattle at 9:15 am. The train will leave Seattle at 9:45 am and arrive in Emeryville at 8:10 am the next day. The return train leaves Emeryville at 10:12 pm and arrives in Seattle at 8:45 pm the next day. The bus then leaves Seattle at 9:15 pm and arrives in Vancouver at 12:35 am the following day. By the way, the bus leaves Pacific Central Station in Vancouver so it is easy to connect from VIA trains. It arrives at the Amtrak station in Seattle for easy connections there. You can also have your ticket set up so you can go directly on the bus to SF from Emeryville upon arrival. It makes four stops in SF and takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on the stop you utilize. For the return, you can catch a bus from SF at one of the four locations to take you out to Emeryville.

The most convenient way to travel by train from Vancouver to Seattle International Airport is to take the Amtrak Cascades train. The train departs from Vancouver's Pacific Central Station and arrives at Seattle's King Street Station. From there, you can take a shuttle or taxi to the airport, which is about a 20-30 minute drive away.
It depends on where your going say like to Seattle to Fife it would be by car

Vancouver was founded many years after George Vancouver died. Captain George Vancouver discovered Vancouver Island unexpectedly. Some of the land making up the island had previously been discovered by Captain James Cook, who believed that it was still part of the mainland. Captain Vancouver was exploring the mouth of what is now called the Juan Da Fuca straights. He believed that it was mearly an inlet and sailed into the mouth, down the Juan Da Fuca Straights, around the southern tip of the island, up the Georgia Straights, following the coast line of the island, and back into the open pacific ocean. He unexpectedly sailed all the way around the island thus proving that it was in fact an island and not part of the mainland. sorry i didn't tell you when.
