Mine is doing the exact same thing. Changing the plug and the coil didn't help. I did see a recall... On certain sport utility vehicles equipped with 3.0L V6 engines, during deceleration, the engine can stall. Should the engine stall, a vehicle crash could occur. Dealers will reprogram the power control module (pcm) with the appropriate calibration.... I'll be checking that out tomorrow as well as checking the rest of the coils.

A flashing check engine light is an indicator of a serious misfire (usually more than one cylinder or consistent misfiring of a single cylinder). Have your OBDII codes read at auto zone or the like. They can tell you atleast what cylinders etc. are misfiring. This indicates a serious problem with the emissions system. The owners manual states that if the check engine light is flashing, do not drive the car!
