It was at the end of the second season with Discovery Channel and was told they have a contract for 10K per season per boat and a very small expense account for production crew. At that time, they made about the same amount a year in merchandise sales.

∙ 13y agoIt really depends on how many people is on the boat, how much crab they catch, crab price, and the boat quota. but average they make about $20,000 - about $50,000 a season. Alot of people want this job for the money but they not just going to hire you for the money unless your really good at it. And you got to love this job Even though its the most DANGEROUS job in the world!
