Bruce Ismay did not cause Titanic to sink. The myth of him urging the captain to speed up is exactly that: a myth. The woman that suggested that wasn't even dining at the same table during the alleged conversation.

∙ 14y agohe caused the titanic to sink because he put pressure on the captain and told him to speed ahead instead of slowing down and checking them selves if there was an iceberg ahead
