Bounty bars originate from the United Kingdom and were first introduced by the Mars Company in 1951. They are made with a coconut filling coated in milk chocolate or dark chocolate. The bars are named after the HMS Bounty, a ship famous for its voyage to the South Seas, which inspired the tropical coconut flavor. Today, Bounty bars are produced in various locations around the world.
