Yes, she sank bow first- in her final minutes, she split in half in the rear-midships section and the main section sank, whilst the stern remained afloat for about another 10 minutes before going under.

The bow would probably have already hit the sea bed as the stern was just beginning it's descent, spiralling slowly in an anti-clockwise direction and with the upper rear deck being peeled backwards like a sardine-tin lid by the force of water rushing underneath it.
