Naruto is immensely shocked by this, mostly because he's so clueless he hasn't realised it yet. Hinata that battles Pain, but inevitably loses (but c'mon, NOBODY can defeat Pain, not even Jiraiya!). Naruto, beliving she's dead, gets SO FLIPPIN' ANGRY and goes into Kyuubi six-tail mode. Hinata survives, but apparently, due to Kyuubi mode, Naruto cannot remember her confession. :-(

During the large amount of filler episodes place in the Naruto series, Hinata had several episodes where Naruto notices that she is "amazing." However, by the next episode that she appears in, Naruto has completely forgotten that Hinata even knows how to fight. So, no. Naruto doesn't seem to be able to remember Hinata at all. It would be interesting if the manga changed that, but I don't believe it will happen.

Yes, she does in episode 166 - Confessions and in manga chapter 437 - Hinata's Confession. So far it is unclear if they get together but I hope that they do!
