With the discovery of planets like those in our own solar system orbiting around suns similar to our own, alien, or extraterrestrial life forms can no longer be discounted.
However, what can be discounted is the notion of travelling 'through' a Black Hole, since a Black Hole is by nature and definition a gravitational singularity with a mass so dense that not even light can escape.
