no don't think so, its only full on one night of the month but past and before that its only like 99% or 98% full so its not actually full (you can get an app on igoogle that tells you the day on which its full and its percentage fullness)
Not noticeably. As the Earth spins, the people in China sees a full moon that is about 1/3 of a day later in the cycle, just as people in Europe see a full moon that is about 1/3 of day EARLIER in the cycle, as compared to people in North America. The point is that you as the average person cannot tell the difference between the Moon when it is exactly "full" compared to the "almost full" or the "just past full" Moons that are 8 hours different.
Cybersix - 1999 Full Moon Fascination 1-10 was released on: USA: 8 November 1999
The Apollo 8 astronauts Jim Lovell, Frank Borman and William Anders were the first men to orbit the moon, they were aldso the first men to see the back side or dark side of the moon. As we can only see one side.
it took 4 days to get to the moon 8 days and 14 hours in space and 31 min in space
To change quartersGet it as in the moons phases:1. First QUARTER2. Waxing Crescent3. New Moon (Second QUARTER)4. Waning Crescent5. Third QUARTER6. Waning Gibbous7. Full Moon (Fourth QUARTER)8. Waxing Gibbous
It takes a full month to see all phases of the moon, then it begins again.
The time period between Full Moon and Third Quarter is usually 7 or 8 days, depending on the actual Full Moon and Third Quarter times.
8 days almost 15 days
A "month". And its 29 days (or 29 and a half).
8/30/10 is four days after the full moon, so it rises (depending on where you are in your time zone) at about 10 PM.
January 8 = new moon phase, days from exact new moon = 5, February 8 = new moon, days from exact new moon = 6. All of the phases of the moon are new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter, waning crescent
The sidereal rotation period of the Moon is just a bit under 27 days and 8 hours.
A lunar month is about 29.5 days long. Each moon phase, such as the new moon, first quarter, full moon, and last quarter, lasts for about 7-8 days.
It takes about two weeks for the moon to go from the first quarter to the full moon. During this time, the moon appears to grow in illumination until it reaches its brightest point at the full moon phase.
No reason why you can't. This year, 2010, the Moon will be a waning crescent 8 days past the full, so trick-or-treaters won't be able to see the Moon; it won't be up yet. The Moon will rise about 1 AM, and trick-or-treaters need to be in bed long before then!
about 8 days
