An Ethernet connection relates to connectivity to your modem and does not represent a power source for your computer.
Even if you found a way to connect it is would not allow the Laptop to work and only serve as a HDTV for the PS3. You would not be able to use the laptop to influence the game play. The PS3 would still need the power source and controller and you would still need a separate WiFi or Ethernet internet connection for online play. You would merely be using the A/V output of a PS3 to connect and play on your laptop
You can go into system link, which is multiplayer to play with friends around you. That answer does not make sense to me but could be accurate. As far as I Know. Without the internet you can only play people next to you with there own controller on your console and you can call it co-op split screen or multiplayer that depends on what the game allows. I was surprised when I learned how many games could only play against someone online and not on the same console.
yes if you have internet connection
Sure why not sounds great especially if you still have a good connection with your parents.
You have to have a router to connect more than 1 item with Comcast Internet unless you also got the wireless router from Comcast. You can either go out and purchase a router either wireless, both, or Ethernet. I purchased a wireless router and then decided I liked the wired system better and purchased an Ethernet cable to hook up the PlayStation 3 because I saw that the router also had 4 Ethernet plugs in back. So you still need to purchase a router even though you have Internet access with Comcast.
A USB Ethernet adapter is in no means, a necessity for you to buy. However, it comes with benefits if you don't have a home based connection set up. They allow computers without Ethernets to hook up, a USB Ethernet and still have a home based connection.
Check you switch and the lan cable.
Internally, yes. But you still need an internet connection to have acces to online play our the PlayStation store. You could use a wirless connection or a ethernet cable.

Your smoke detector may still beep after removing the battery because it has a backup power source, such as a capacitor or a wired connection to your home's electrical system. This backup power source allows the smoke detector to continue functioning and alerting you to potential dangers even if the battery is removed.
The PS3 must be connected to a TV of some kind. The PS3 internet connection has nothing to do with the A/V connection and is either WiFi or Ethernet cable
UPS: Unlimited Power Source, Uninterrupted Power Source. Your power should still work if you have a UPS. After all a UPS is UNLIMITED!
Yes; Ethernet is really not a single technology, but a family of technologies. Details vary, for example between fiber optic and copper cable; but it is still considered "Ethernet".Yes; Ethernet is really not a single technology, but a family of technologies. You need to purchase broadband internet service and the network connection devices. The router does not have to be wireless because you can also connect with a ethernet cable from the PS3 to a router
They are still virgins because their is only one of them.
No. The PS3 can only have a wired connection with an ethernet cable. The only other connection that is possible is WiFi. The PS3 can only connect to the internet with WiFi or ethernet cable no other type connection is possible. You can not use the HDMI or USB port to connect the PS3 to the internet. I do not believe a router can be connected to the internet cable without a modem or that you can have cable internet without a modem
No. You need to connect the ethernet cable to a modem or router. You can disconnect the PC ethernet cable from the modem and connect an ethernet cable from the Xbox 360 to the modem until you purchase a router.
