In the final episode of Vampire Diaries Season 1, Jeremy drinks Vampire blood. He then overdoeses on pain killers/drugs although he does not die and become a vampire because the blood actually cures him. So far in the Second Season Jeremy is still human adn time will tell if he ever actually is turned.

In the Season 1 finale we witnessed him drinking a vial of Anna's blood and (possibly) downing the pills from Elena's car crash. during the first episode of season 2, "The Return" we find out that the blood saved jeremy from the damage caused by the pills and was neither hurt or turned into a vampire. although he still gets a ring like alarick, stephen and damon have for protection... :)
