It takes a few minutes for each step if you have an online connection
Every single game has an automatic update patch but you'd have to accept the update, and yes the PS3 System has an update patch!
no you do not have to pay to update it.. its free
When you do the updates they tell you that they can not be uninstalled. Downgrade of an update is the same thing as uninstalling the update. Once the PS3 has been updated you can not get it back to the old programming. I don't believe you can even install a new harddrive and download the original PS3 operating system without the updates.
There is three ways to do this by a (1) Game that comes with the update, (2) a computer and playstations web site you can download the update to a thumbstick or sd card and put it into you ps3 and retrieve the update. (3) This is the easy way to get an update You first must have hi-speed internet connection then go to (settings) and then (system update) icon and it will do the update automatically. Hope this helped; SGT Weinbrenner
The update you need to download is UNDER SYSTEM SETTINGS BUT AT THE TOP TOP,, FIRST ONE: if it says SYSTEM UPDATE and has this rotating icon then that's what you need to download. I HOPE IT HELPED BYE-BYE < 3
the answer is march 27
When the new patch is out, the ps3 will ask you to update it
You can not revert the PS3 update
you need to update the system. then it will install the new update. or it could be the smudges on the disk
You can only update the PS3 manually either by initiating it from the System Update menu in the XMB (via internet or from an insertable storage media), or responding to an update message when you login to your PSN account. Either way, the update shows its progress on your screen as it happens, and turning your PS3 off in the middle of an update can cause a lot of problems (loss of data type problems).
PS3 is on Update 4.21 released on July 6, 2012. Update 4.11 was February 16, 2012. System Update 3.10 was November 19, 2009
A patch is a update
By asking the administrator.
Well first you have to update your system
No, but there are system updates which apparently crash your PS3. SO I would recommend you stick to the original Sony Updates and wait for some reviews of the update before updating because some people claim that their PS3's were bricked by the 3.21 system update.
You might need to update your PS3 if that is what you have. To update offline put in your game and a message will say you need to update to version. To play online go to settings and select "update system" to update it.
put the jailbreak on your jump drive then plugin your jump drive into your ps3 then turn on your ps3 then go to system update and click update via storage media agree to terms and install then your done.
With an online connection to your PS3 it is easy to download the update and for those without an online connection some Sony PS3 games include updates.see related link for Update using disc mediaI've included a link to Playstation support on how to update from a computer that starts with the following information:"You can download the PS3 System Software update data using a personal computer (PC), copy the update data to the PS3 system's hard disk and then perform the update.Note: you can also update the PS3 System Software using the System Update method or by using a disc that contains the update data."The link goes on to explain the different procedures to Download the System Software Update after a list of the required items that is reprinted below:Required Items:PlayStation®3 system.SIXAXIS™ wireless controller connected to the PS3 with a USB cable. You must have the SIXAXIS wireless controller connected to the PS3 system directly via a USB cable before you attempt to do a System Update.
