Moreno was outraged that Ramona was having an affair at work and there was some speculation she was grooming her only son, Phillip, to have a relationship with Ramona. Ramona then realized that Moreno never really trusted her running card services so to protect her position in the bank she and Alessandro eloped. Alessandro started going crazy, eventually loosing his mind completely. He was killed when he decided to steal a sports car he spotted in front of a LA Fitness. The owner of the car ended up following Alessandro home and shot him. In the meantime, Moreno dies due to poor health and the fact she was a chain smoker. Her son Phillip eventually found Ramona and ultimately they got married. They left North Carolina and now live in Nome Alaska where Phillip started his own bank and has Ramona running it.
