This would be considered a rebuttable presumption and is left up to the interpretation of the judge in accepting it as a deductible item. see link below

I can only fill you in on the requirements of my state (KY), but I'm sure they are similar in most states. First there are a couple of avenues you can go about adoption. You can work with your state agency, private agencies or overseas agencies. I will warn you if you are wanting a baby your best bet is an overseas agency, however the price to do an adoption with most of them will be around $30,000. If you are willing to adopt an older child state or private agency are available to help. To become a state/private adoptive parent in Kentucky you must first go through 30 hours of pre-service training which teaches some parenting skills, the type of children available for adoption, the lives the children have lived before being removed from their homes, etc. During this training a homestudy and background check is completed to verify you are not a felon and that your home is a safe environment to raise a child. Then you are approved. At that time a child may be placed in your home. The big difference between state and private is the cost. There is no cost to adopt through the state and you are often given a subsidy (monetary assistance) if you adopt a special needs child (this could be a teen, sibling group, minority or child with medical or behavioral issues). With the private this is a cost and little monetary assistance. Most states also will require you to be 21, have a safe home, have a bedroom for the child, be able to pay for your household bills without assitance, and have good mental health. You can be married, single or have a life partner. You can be older. You do NOT have to own a home. _______________________________________
Generally speaking, all government tax collecting policies and government expenditures need to be reviewed to make sure there is no waste, and that tax laws are fair. Welfare payments as well as defense expenditures all need to be reviewed as often as possible. This applies to South Africa and all countries.
British Columbia wanted a wagon route to the head of Lake Superior (in essence, a transport link to the rest of Canada) as a condition of confederation. The condition was agreed and improved: a railroad would be built instead.
It depends on the situation; you will no longer get the board rate, but may qualify for an adoption subsidy. You're more likely to qualify if you adopt special needs children (older children, sibling groups, medical needs, behavioral issues, sometimes minorities, etc)
There are some major tax breaks for adoption fess. The money comes off the income and taxes are not paid on it. Some companies also provide subsidies for adoption.
An adoption subsidy, or adoption assistance, is a government benefit to offset the costs of adopting and raising a special needs child. The benefit may take the form of one-time and monthly payments, medical equipment, and post-adoption services such as respite care, counseling and day care.In the U.S., a one-time payment can cover homestudy fees, court costs and attorney fees. Monthly payments are based on a child's needs or eligibility (not family income) and continue until the child is 19 (sometimes 21). For federal and state programs, see Adoption Subsidy in the U.S.,http://www.nacac.org/adoptionsubsidy/us.html by the North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC). The definition of "special needs" varies by state. In Canada, parents adopting children with special needs may get a payment to defray unusual expenses, such as medical and dental expenses, counselling services and therapy not covered by health insurance, availability of social workers for advice, and respite care. Amounts and types of subsidies vary by province. For a survey of subsidies, see Canadian Adoption Assistance Profiles,http://www.nacac.org/adoptionsubsidy/provincialprofiles.html by NACAC. One province offers benefits for any public adoption; see "Alberta offers benefits to adoptive parents", http://www.familyhelper.net/news/081208alberta.html.
No, you don't get a subsidy lol. My husband and I have number 8 on the way. We both work and provide for our family on our own.
Sometimes, the amounts vary by state, and work on a case by case basis. In general:You will get an adoption subsidy if you are adopting special needs children (medical, severe behavior, autism, sibling groups, mixed race, children older than 8 years old, etc)You may be able to negotiate one with the case manager regardless of special needs.
It depends on where your subsidy is coming from. Most adoption assistance payments are issued through the county or state the child was adopted from; as long as the government of your county or state is still running, your check should still arrive on time.
This varies from state to state. You will no longer receive a stipend or board rate, but may qualify for an adoption subsidy. Generally you will only qualify if the child is a special needs child in some way (behavioral, medical, psychological, sibling group, teen, mixed race, etc)
