Does gsm-gprs modem with tcp-ip stack means you can assign static ip or you have to write an interface which will convert your packet to something which modem can understand?

There are two data flows CSD and GPRS data flow integrating with TCP/IP , we get a IP address dynamically, we can do dial/up connection by sending PPP packet or we can do gprs connection by IP packets
