Jacob Black does imprint on Renesmee Cullenin the book written by Stephenie Meyer, but it is unknown as to yet whether that aspect of the story will be put into the film or whether it will be cut out.
Although, the imprint does have quite a major effect on the story plot as a whole so I would guess that the director kept it, because the wolves might not have stood against the Voltouri if Jacob had not imprinted on Renesmee.
