In my opinion, the legal drinking age should remain at 21 in the United States.
History and statistics often show that minors are not quite responsible enough to know when to say when. When I was young I feel I was in the majority. And I feel the majority of youth was simply to push everything to the limit. Rules, laws, parents, and drinking were all pushed to the limit. I believe only a small percentage of youth actually are mature enough to say no. Legalizing drinking at a younger age would only overflow into more drunk drivers on the roads. Review statistics of youth and drunk driving and just read any blog you come across. Usually the common factor is lack of experience behind the wheel combined with immaturity and recklessness. Those 3 combined are reasons enough to not lower the drinking limit.

1961 is wrong!! I'm sure it was April 15, 1970!!
no the law is you have to be 21
21 is the legal drinking age in Utah and I think, now, every other state. Some states used to have 18/21 laws where you could buy beer at 18 and hard liquor at 21, but I think everybody's at 21 for everything now.
To not do it if under the age of 21, with certain exceptions.
There have been many conflictions as to what the legal drinking age. It all has to do with maturity, physically and mentally. The amount of time it takes to fully physically mature is 21 years. This is why USA has a drinking age is 21. But the mental maturity is totally different. The problem with alcohol is today's teenagers abusing alcohol. Mental maturity can be reached from anywhere between 16 and 28 years of age, depending on the person. Some people may never mature. Teenagers should, however, have the right to experiment. That is why the drinking age should be 16-18 for low alcoholic drinks, and older (21-25) for drinks with high alcoholic content. Health wise, to avoid brain or any other damage resulting from alcohol in later life, the drinking age should be 21, when the body is fully matured and able to cope with alcohol.

There is no need for the drinking age to be raised to 21 because at age 21 is when most peoples brains are done developing. Also age 21 has been the drinking age since 1984 so they wouldn't change it 26 years later.
Prior to 1972 the minimum drinking age was 21 in Michigan. Michigan lowered the minimum drinking age from 21 to 18 in 1972, raised it from 18 to 19 in 1978, and raised it from 19 to 21 in 1978.
The legal drinking age in British Columbia is 19.
No, the legal drinking age in the United States is still 21 years old. There have been no recent changes to increase the drinking age to 25.

Massachusetts changed the legal drinking age from Age 18 to Age 20 on April 16, 1979. It was raised again from Age 20 to Age 21 on December 5, 1984 by Governor Michael Dukasis. He was forced to raise the drinking age to 21 or face losing $25.5 million in Federal Highway Funding. All states were mandated to raise the drinking age to 21 by October 1, 1986.
Prior to 1972 the minimum drinking age was 21 in Georgia. Georgia lowered its minimum drinking age from 21 to 18 years in 1972, raised it from 18 to 19 in 1984, raised it from 19 to 20 in 1985, and raised it from 20 to 21 in 1986.
