You can use the Action Replay, which is easier, but here are some ways how to get to that limit:
- Dig for hours underground and putting them in your bag. I highly recommend going back up every few minutes, because you may never know what will happen.
- You can buy items to get up to 900, if you are really rich. Requires a lot of money.
- You can catch Pokemon that holds an item. Like Bibarel has a decent chance of holding an Oran Berry when caught, but has a low chance of having a Sitrus Berry as well.
- Ask a friend if they can trade over Pokemon, holding items.
