Yes. It's not a common occurrence nowadays, however it does still happen. The stunts performed in many circuses are quite dangerous, and the requirements for joining in the past were very lax. As the industry has grown more professional so have the requirements to join. As more training is required to join the number of injuries has drastically dropped.

What is the 19th century circus?

The 19th-century circus was a popular form of entertainment that combined a variety of acts, including acrobatics, clowns, animal performances, and trapeze artists, often performed in a large tent or arena. This era saw the rise of famous circuses, such as Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, which blended spectacle with marketing strategies to attract large audiences. What makes Cirque Du Soleil different from other circuses?

Cirque Du Soleil is a contemporary circus, meaning it leans towards more of a theatrical performance (human arts, skill and ability are the basis- and most specifically no animals are used), while Ringling Brothers B&B is more of a traditional circus that still uses animals and a "the bigger the better" get up, with lots of performers and glittery costumes.

What ways do animlas from the circus die?

Animals are sometimes accidentally hurt while performing, so they are put down. Some animals become to old. Some animals are trained but then they turn and are considered dangerous. I am against animals being in the circus. Them being hurt or teased for our entertainment is very wrong. They should be out free. It isn't as entertaining without them and the circus doesn't get as much money, but the lives of the animals are more important. Don't you agree? Signed: AquaMoon

How is a circus and a carnival the same?

Is employer liable if employee gets injured by falling debris. I was injured when a fellow employee tried to pull a heavy box from the top of a rolling shelf that I was instructed to sit next to?

Your employer is liable for ALL injuries that happen to employees "in the course and scope of employment". "In the course" means during the period you are clocked in and subject to the employer's direction. NOT before or after work or while away from the workplace at lunch. "In the scope" means while performing your assigned duties - not while fighting or stealing or picketing.
