Helen of Troy - who was a fictional character to begin with - was given different characteristics, depending on which poet used her character in a poem. She is generally described as a daughter of the supreme god Zeus ( the name of her mother differs in the various poems) and by most poetic accounts she was the wife of King Menelaos of Sparta and the mother of a daughter.

You could argue that her moral character was not so great, letting herself be seduced by a visiting prince, later trading him in for another young lover by some accounts and leaving that lover to be killed by his enemies after having hidden his sword. But other poems have her not even living in Troy but in Egypt during the ten-year war. So she is just what a poet made of her.
