How can you catch mew in Pokemon platinum?

You can catch mew on platinum if you do this: Have Dialga and palkia in the front, and unown M E and W wich spells mew. Have a pikachu last and evolve it with a thunderstone. It might be a mew. (Im not completely positive this works.)

This is supposed to be a trick that I have not attempted yet so im sorry if I'm wrong about this. You have to catch a Dialga, Palkia, Pikachu, and Unoun in the formes of the letters "M" "E" and "W". You have to cheat with whatever you want I don't care but you have to make sure that they know all the necessary HM's to get to the top of Mt. Coronet. In this exact order from left to right the back to left so on so on, put the m unoun first then the dialga then e unoun then pikachu (who btw needs to hold a mind plate) then w unoun then last palkia. You have to climb to the VERY top of Mt. Coronet and when you do you have to make sure your pikachu is ready to evolve into raichu. One your at the top, use the dusk stone on pikachu and he should evolve into mew. If he doesn't then I'm sorry. Pikachu can be found in the trophy garden, or at least his pre-evoulotion, pichu. dialga and palkia can both be found on the top of mt. coronet after you beat the game and the unoun can be found in solaceon cave. the lower you are in the cave,the better the chance of running into one. Also to increase your chances, you can run in a square around the rock in the rooms. You can do all this OR you can use an action replay to run into it ( don't ask me what is the code for it because i don't know but i think its something like MEW!!!! and if its not, Google it). Mewtwo is found in Cerulean Cave. The easiest way to catch it is with a masterball, but if not, then lower its HP as far as possible without killing it, then paralyze it or put it to sleep, and use an ultra ball.

First you must have Raikuo, Entei, Typhlosion, Pikachu, Lugia, and Ho-Oh then you go to where you caught Lugia and there should be a Mewtwo when u catch it use a Pokeball then wait for 5 min after u caught it then it will say "Mewtwo has Blacked out" when it says that take him to Pokemon center then when it is healed it will be shiny. I hope this works cuz it worked for me.

The way to catch a shiny mewtwo is the same for any non roaming legendary. You generally save right in front of them and soft reset until a shiny mewtwo appears. That is all. Chances are 1/8192 so be prepared, im at 7k and still not there, some people get it at 15 or 100 or 10k. Patience is needed.
