How can you clone in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl without the gts?

Without cheating (using Action replay/GameShark is cheating) you can't. If you do cheat (using Action replay/gameshark) you can.
i heard if you save the game then put a Pokemon in an empty box in the PC then save again then withdraw it and save again but turn it off before it saves it should clone, not mine found it somewhere else. sorry if this doesn't work.

or i don't know if this is for platinum too you can do gts ask for a Pokemon for example you have a level 2 bidoof and you ask for a level 100 bidoof put that Pokemon in deposit thing then watch the little clock at the bottom after it goes seven and a half about turn your ds off turn it back on and it should say save file corrupted go into the game take back the Pokemon in the gts then you'll have two of that Pokemon

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET A DITTO FROM FIRERED OR LEAFGREEN AND PUT DITTO WITH ANOTHER POKEMON IN THE CELESTIC TOWN DAY CARE CENTER AND WAIT, AFTER LIKE 2 HOURS OR SOMETHING GO TO THE OLD MAN INFRONT OF THE CENTER AND HE WILL SAY HIS WIFE FOUND AN EGG. MAKE ROOM FOR THE EGG AND THEN TAKE IT, TO HATCH THE EGG YOU HAVE TO RUN AROUND....

I heard that you cna you just need a ditto, a Pokemon with thief, and a Pokemon to hold your item. Go into a double battle, with ditto and the item Pokemon, first. Transform ditto into the item Pokemon and then switch the item Pokemon out to the thief Pokemon. Use thief on ditto. Win, and then you should have it.

I tried this with a Master Ball and it didn't work.

Above person: it's not working because you have an English-language version; the glitch only works in the early Japanese versions (late 2006-early 2007).

i never tried but i think u can first trade then turn off your ds and reboot then i think u would still have your Pokemon and your friend will have it too.m

note: u better let your friend get out of the union room first before or else it will affect your friend

Use your action replay if you have one, but otherwise i think u can only clone item if you clone a Pokemon. Use the gts to clone Pokemon, there is a small chance you will lose your file though. look at other questions to how to clone Pokemon in gts.
