Go to Jublife,when you find the building where the poketch are made pass that building and when you see another building where the man who gives you the old rod go through there and use surf (which you can use after beating hearthome gym). When you get to the other side of this pond Canalave city is just around the corner.

∙ 12y agofirst you gotta go to jubilife city then turn left then you can get to canalave city
or you can fly by pressing the x button and click Pokemon, click every Pokemon you have and see if anyone of them can fly if one of them can click fly and a map will apear then choose the city you wanna go to which in this case is canalave city click canalave city and you'll get there good luck!
EDIT: There are two ways of doing it, One is to use a cheat and walk over the water, two is to use the HM 'surf' and swim across atop one of your Pokemon.
