How can you play PS1 games on PS2?

Because the PS1 is very simple to have an emulator for so the PS2 has one to allow it to play the PS1 games just like the PS3 has one. The PS2 is also a DVD player and a DVD player can read the CD game disc that the PS1 game is on and has no problem running the simpler software for the PS1.

you simply can't Sony made it so that you cant burn computer disks to play on PS1.they did so so that people cant make illeagal cpoies and steal sonys ideas.2of the things listed will happen if you did

1. you coputer would say ERROR and you coulnt burn the disk.

or 2. you burn the disk, put it into your PS1 and that would ruin it

bottom line, DON'T BURN PS1 GAMES ONTO DISKS OR YOU COULD GET ARRESTED FOR PLAGARISM

In my case I record the movies and TV Shows on my Media Center Computer and burn a copy on a DVD of any TV shows or Movies I have recorded. I play them on my PS3 and then I give them to someone who watches them without any trouble on there PS2. I don't know how others do this except that I do know the PS2 or PS3 will not burn a DVD or any other disc and they must be done on a DVD recorder or a PC with a DVD writer and then played on the PS2 or PS3
