There is no average temperature for mountains; there is however a pretty good guideline which you can use to determine temperature at altitude.
If the air is dry is about its 10 degree centigrade drop in temperature per 1000m of altitude and about 5 degrees centigrade drop per 1000 m if the air is saturated (contains a lot of moisture)
