There are a number of ways to do this. One is to see if other stations corroborated the information; today, you can go to the websites of various networks and see which stories they are reporting, and you can also go to reputable news magazines like Time or The Week. Another way is to use reliable fact-checking websites like Snopes.com and Politifact.com and Factcheck.org to see whether there are myths or misrepresentations in the stories. And you can also ask some professors of journalism: some of them write blogs or columns about the media. Check the website of the Columbia Journalism Review (CJR.org) for one example; there are some excellent resources on that site.

Most TV reporters and other media personalities have an agenda. They want to change the world and are willing to use their platform to affect change. Given that fact, it's uncommon to find a news report that is very accurate and most are skewed toward the bias of the reporter. Reporting is seldom "fair and balanced".
there is no right or wrong answer because that is not a fact. different people will give you different answers. so there is no best TV. show as a fact.
