Rosa Parks made a difference in peoples lives by helping them realize we are all equal. She believed we should be judged on the respect we have for ourselves and othes, not because of our color
Rosa Parks affected modern American society by becoming a catalyst for social change. On December 1, 1955, during a bus ride in Montgomery Alabama, Ms. Parks refused to move from her seat to make room for white passengers when ordered to by the driver of the bus. She was tired. It had been a long day. She had ridden the bus hundreds of times before. She had probably been asked to give up her seat before, but this time she didn't! This act of civil disobedience was not the first time where a black citizen had refused to move from their seat while on a bus to make room for white passengers, but Rosa Parks was well known and well like in Birmingham, and the people of Birmingham were ready to take a stand. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King led the boycott against the bus company. It lasted year, but it was successful in integrating the buses in Birmingham. After that, Dr. King went on to fight other injustices in Alabama. Eventually he was successful in passing the 1964 Civil Rights Act, one of the most important pieces of legislation in U.S. History.
She help with equality. She was asked to move to the back of the bus so a white person can sit there. She refused and was arrested. She helped Martin Luther king with the Civil Rights Movement.
Back then the buses where split. Black people in the back. White people in the front. Rosa was inthe front and a white person wanted to go there. Se refused to go. Then black people started to protest. Now re buses aren't separated forgive me if my writing is messed up. I'm on my iPod touch.
The answer someone had is incorrect so i just wanted to let you know not to listen to them so I erased it. There is no official answer for this show yet.
