Seneca died a long and horrible death. He was tutor to the emperor Nero but disgusted at Neor's abuses he decided to commit posion.

This was a long process. He first drank hemlock....it didn;t work.

He then cut his wrists and ankles to bleed to death but this did still not suffice.

Senneca then got his slaves to run a warm bath to sit in and speed the bleeding yet senneca still survived. He finally ordered his slaves to poor salts into the water to make it fume. Senneca eventully died as a result of suffocation from these fumes and blood loss.
