Yes but in little numbers. Back in the 50s, grease gangs were multiethnic but mainly white and Latino. Nowadays the only true grease gangs are dominated by Latinos and many affiliated with southsiders and northsiders. Modern examples include the Alley Cat Kings. Some greaser gangs from back in the 50s still survive today such as the Simon City Royals, however their members would not be considered greasers anymore but simple street gangsters.
Greasers started in the 1950's and went for nearly 20 years. So that means they were around for both the 1950's and the 1960's.
They were poor and didn't get their way because of the socs.
