In early 1800's the only way to get to A to B was by a horse and cart, this way it took for days to get get supplies and only a horse could carry 2 tones of goods and only travel twenty miles a day. But the reason transport did change is because railways, it changed the way people travelled around the country. By travelling by train it was cheaper and faster and goodies were delivered.
