Anderson:
I have a thought about the issues of today related to the Gazi and Israel situation. I wondered about what would end the stale mate and reduce or eliminate the deaths of more Gazi civilians. While I am not sure it will release the Israel hostages at this point in time it sure could end the war and stop the bloodshed and curtail Hamas.
Build in Gaza at a large detention camp or camps. Surround them with 12 foot high cyclone fences topped with razor wire. Double the fence of same construction with razor wire about 100 feet apart, and place land mines on it. Inside set a tent city or cities holding all the citizens of the current town where the residents are located and needs to be secured. Build as many other detention camps as needed to secure the (citizens of Gaza) Of course running the camps requires food, shelter, health care etc. It secures and reduces the death toll and suffering if done right. For what we spend on this war it would be a small price to stop the political mess) we are in. I suspect Israel taking the lead in this while it might not be as liberal as some would like would help stop the story and actions going on now as a cease fire just has not worked and a need to separate the citizens from Hamas is needed to finish this conflict. If this could save the hostages at all, as this last killing of the 6 just happened, but something must be done. Israel then goes in and destroys only Hamas infrastructure, tunnels etc. and leaves it completely all destroyed leaving homes etc. Yes, you will get some Hamas into the camp, but snitches and observation in the camps will route out some of them. On entry extensive searches and deta logs,on everyone then ID them with tracking injectable devises as well. Post war and at some future point could take the devices out if all ends well. The camps would be a hell of a lot better than what is happening now, cost a lot less in both money and public option but a cease fire is just not working. Let's face it when Egypt and bordering countries will not take them in like they did years ago there is a reason. So Israel needs to take swift and strong action to end it. Tis option has merit. Of course it also has a downside as well in public option of detention camps. The alternative of how it is being handled now is not working.
You are a well - known journalist of reputation so you floating this idea cleaned up as you will - might catch on? Best of luck, I just could not stand it post the killing of these last 6 souls, so that is why I am writing this to you
Good luck
