How do all the 3 Jurassic Park movies go together because im confused?

The 3 movies were filmed years apart. They tried to get the same actors but could not for all of them. They got Jeff Goldbloom for the second one. The third they got Sam Neill to come back. Yes, they are all about the same thing but different places where the dinosaurs grew.
