The entire process has three stages.

- Transaction HUB plays the role of an intermediary between the physician and the pharmacy. It notifies both the prescriber and the pharmacy that it has transferred the details of prescription to both the ends (.i.e pharmacy and physician).
- Once the pharmacy gets a confirmation from the transaction HUB, the pharmacy informs the practice that it has received the prescription. Eventually the pharmacy fills the prescription and hands over the medicine to the patient.
