Katara has long brown hair, medium-brown skin, and beautiful blue eyes. Abilities: katara'a waterbending abilities have greatly improved since the very first episode "the boy in the iceberg," katara now has the power to create enormous waves, as she did in the southern raiders. Actually, Sokka could learn how to bend but never did. Michael Dante DiMartino (Creator of avatar) said Sokka had water bending potential but never realized it. But Sokka is okay with that because, apparently, he doesn't like many spiritual things.
