There's also a way to get Magmar. Fly to Floraroma town, then go over to the bridge by the valley windworks. turn to your left and surf all the way down the stream till you get to a spot called fuego ironworks. in the big patch of grass there are magnemites, floatzels, and MAGMARS! If you can find a male and a female you can breed them at the daycare to get a MAGBY! Trust me on this. A level 69 Lucario, level 59 Houndoom, level 70 Magmortar, and approximately 63 magby eggs in my PC box. Not to mention all the Hoen Region Starters, and 1 Arcanine.
