How do you catch aerodactyl in Pokemon diamond?

In Pokemon soul silver you can get Aerodactyl by using rock smash on the rocks near Ruins of alph until you get his fossil (Old Amber) and taking it to the Pewter Museum
Find and catch a Chansey, found on route 14, then trade it for the Aerodactyl to a lady in red, also on route 14.

first u need to go to pewter city and cut the tree into the back of this big building at the north. u ask the guy by the stone thingy and he will giv u the "Old Amber". u then go to cinnabar island and go into the fossil building, go to the third room and give the guy the old amber. when he says he needs time all u have to do is leave the building and go back in. u then talk to him again and he will give u an aerodactyl at level 5.

you can only do this after you get HM cut and HM surf: go to pewter city and go east of the museum. cut down the tree and talk to the guy standing beside the brown table (in glasses). he will give you old amber, then take it to cinnibar and get in regenerated at the lab by the weird doctor in the third room and he'll regenerate it for you.

You find the Old Amber in Ruins of Alph by smashing rocks, then get the fossil restored at the Pewter Museum of Science. You could only revive the fossil if you have the National Pokedex.
