it depends on what program you use to rip it off the dvd. some will only take the main title, other will give you a choice. try different software. on my mac i use roxio popcorn
Mine seems to take about the same length the original file is. I'm converting a movie now and it has been converting for about an hour and is almost done.
Keep in mind that youtube doesn't accept .wmv files. If you're making it from Windows Movie Maker, when you are saving it to your computer, click either save movie, or for computer. Do NOT click save project, this turns it into a work in progress and a .wmv file.
if u r having trouble with uploading the video in any source like facebook, or you tube from windows like movie maker: 1) go and make a video 2) click on file button next to home button 3) go to save movie as: and click on high definition 720 p 4) then when u see the page talking about save as and have to give name go ahead and give name and then there is button named save as type go ahead and click all files then it will take some time but your file now easily will able to upload in any files

hi if your looking for a free video editing software i would download videopad. it is free and can convert almost any file and you can then use it and convert the finished product into lots of different files.:-)
It does not have the codes to edit the file . Google vcdhelp .You need a program to convert these files into wma to be edited in movie maker
