How do you find a king rock in platinum?

step 1:change your ds's time to about 9pm.This saves waiting till night.

step 2:when that is done turn your platinum on,and go to route 225.make sure your lead Pokemon is holding an item.

step 3:find and capture a bannette with the ability frisk.frisk is an ability that can reveal the foes item,this is why its important that your lead Pokemon has an item,and how you can locate a specific bannette.And dusk balls would probably work best aswell.

step 4:once you have captured your bannette with frisk,put it at the front of your party,make sure you have a Pokemon with rock climband go to route 227.Once there make your way to the 1st bit of water you see (2 ponds underneath a bridge).

step 5:stand at any of these ponds and register your super rod.what you will be aiming to capture is a poliwhirl that is holding the kings rock,which you will kno thanks to bannette.It is important to register your super rod bcoz this could take some time.Net balls would work best for capturing poliwhirl.
