If you or your partner is a Charmander, AFTER the credits go to the cave in Whiscash Pond to evolve. You have to go down the path like your going on an exploration, then your partner will start a talk with you about changing leaders and all that. So if your partner is the Charmander, make him the leader. Also, be aware that the cave counts as a dungeon and you can only take one person in it. (The leader, Charmander.) Also, in Fiery Field, there are Charmander and Charmeleon. If you recruit one, you can eventually evolve it to Charizard. Charmander is found on floors 5-8 and Charmeleon is on floors 26-29. However, this is harder to so because both Charmander and Charmeleon will be level 30. Charmeleon evolves in to Charizard at level 36. If you chose to do it this way, then I suggest training aat the Makuhita Dojo. There are also Charizard deep in Western Cave, but they are unrecruitable. Hope I helped!
