How do you get a carnivine in Pokemon diamond?

Carnivine can be found at the Great Marsh in Pastoria City, or at the route to the far left of it. He's hard to find, and when you encounter him he's hard to catch. The easiest way to get a Carnivine is to either wait until after 6:00 pm or set your ds clock to 6:00 pm ( a ds runs in military time so set your clock to 20:00, which is 6:00 pm. Setting your ds clock to 6:00 will mean 6:00 in the morning, but what you want is the pm time.) In Diamond, Carnivine can only be found at the farthest top-left corner of the Great Marsh. In Pearl, Carnivine can be found at the route left of Pastoria City. In Platinum, he can be found either at the Great Marsh, or the route left of Pastoria, but in Platinum he can only be found left of Pastoria in the morning. ( In Diamond or Pearl he can be found throughout the day left of Pastoria.) Left of Pastoria you'll have a better chance of seeing him than you would at the Great Marsh.
